There are 3 international ports in Xishuangbanna---Mohan land port on China-Lao border, Jinhong Port on the Mekong River which is open to Thailand, International airport with airlines to Bangkok and Chiang Mai, In addition, international highway from Kunming, capital of Yunnan, to Bangkok via Xishuangbanna and northern Laos is now under full-range construction, which is scheduled to be finished in several years and a more efficient international thoroughfarewill will be set up by then.
