Wending means “ a cloud-wrapped place ”in Wa language. This Wa Village located in the western of Canyuan County, Licang city. There are about 97 household of over 500 people live in here. All of them are Wa people.
It was firstly built by a family named Yang about 400 years, therefore the village head always come from Yang family until nowadays. The whole village is divided into village gate, residential house, village totem pillars and scared forest. It is regards as the last complete well-preserved primitive village and a window to know about the Wa people.
