This 3 days short stay tour is to visit the marvelous Terrace fields in Yunyang as well as explore the difference types limestone in the Naigu Stone Forest.
The tour is available all year around, best time is every November to next March, the terrace fields in Yuanyang are fully with water during this period.
At 08:00am in the morning, our English speaking guide will pick up you from the lobby of your hotel in downtown.
Then firstly transfer 2hrs to discover Naigu Stone Forest “ Naigu “in the Yi language means old and black. It covers an area of 7.83 square kilometers with the characteristics of magnificence, roughness , primitiveness and simpleness. Seen from outside , the forest resembles an ancient battle field , mysterious. However go inside , it looks like a place luxurious and solemn.
After the tour, further the driving to Yuanyang (5-6hrs ) . It is located at 2000 meters above sea level and the entire mountains here are sculpted with terrace-field commonly called the ladder of the sky.
Overnight at Yuanyang
Gets up early to enjoy the sunrise view at Duoyi village to see the Terrance field. Later stroll in the local market to see the locals dressed with their colorful folk costume do Shopping and bargaining at the market. Afterward you will move to visit Qingkou Hani Village where there is a small culture museum of Hanni people. Enjoy your leisure time stroll along the train of the fields. To watch how the local people farming the fields by their traditional way.
In the later afternoon , enjoy the famous sunset view of Tiger Mouth or Bada area.It is a palace about 20km far from Xinjie (the center of Yuanyhang ). Numerous of photographers will gather together here at every sunset since the best moment to enjoy the marvelous terrace fields view is during the sunset period.
Overnight at Yuanyang
After breakfast,dive back to Kunming (6-7hrs ). On the way,have a stop at Xinmeng Village is the only Mongolian Villages in Yunnan province. Around 750 years ago, the cavalries led by Kublai Khan conquered Dali Kingdom. Some Soldiers settled down as inhabitants in Tonghai County of Yuxi Municipality, 130 km from Kunming.
Finally drop off at your own booking hotel in Kunming in the later afternoon.
