Day 1 Lhasa Arrival (-/-/D)

Arrive in Lhasa Gongga International Airport. It is located in 40 km (25 miles) southeast of Lhasa with altitude at 3600 meters (12,000 feet).
Be warmly welcomed by a white scarf (called Hada) in a Tibet traditional way which brings you good luck. Have a rest for the acclimation after arrive Lhasa city.

Day 2 Lhasa Sightseeing (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit Potala Palace, residence of the Dalai Lama, is located in the Hongshan mountain and covers about 410,000 meters. This massive 13-storeyed building used to be the highest building prior to the early period of last century, used to be the former winter abode for the Dalai Lamas.
In the afternoon, guided sightseeing of the most revered religious structure in Tibet-Jokhang Temple. Jokhang, the most sacred temple in Tibet, refers to “Buddha’s House” in Tibetan language because the main statue enshrined is said to be made by Buddha Sakyamuni himself in his lifetime. Jokhang Temple is the convergence of Tibet’s Spiritual and secular life, like Mecca for the Muslims, here you can meet all the tribes from Tibetan plateau.

Day 3 Lhasa Sightseeing (B/L/D)

In the morning, pick up from hotel move to visit Drepung Monastery, which was once the world's largest monastery with a population of around 10,000 monks. The word Drepung literally translates as "rice heap", a reference to the huge numbers of white monastic buildings that once piled up on the hillside.
Afternoon continue the tour to Sera Monastery About 600 monks are now in residence here. Debating takes place from 3:30pm to 5pm in a garden next to the assembly hall in the center of the monastery. There is a fine kora path around the monastery.

Day 4 Lhasa-Shigatse (B/L/D)

Today drive to Gyangtse. On the way, stop to see Yamdrok Tso Lake lies several hundred meters below the road, and in clear weather is a fabulous shade of deep turquoise. It is one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and the home of wrathful deities. Walk on the lakeside to enjoy the natural beauty.
In the afternoon, arriving in Gyangtse, visit Perkhor Chode Monastery,then we leave the small town of Gyantse to Shigatse, the second large city in Tibet and  the capital of Tsang, lying 354 km west of Lhasa at an altitude of 3,810 m/12,570 ft.

Day 5 Shigatse-EBC (B/L/D)

In the morning drive further in to the mountains to get to Mt. Everest Base Camp via Tingri. The road condition to the Base Camp is rough; stay overnight at Rongbuk Guesthouse, the accommodation tonight is a little simple

Day 6 EBC-Shigatse (B/L/D)

From the arrival day till today you will have the best view of Mt. Everest in any way. Get up earlier and enjoy the stunning view of the mountain Himalayas and maybe the sunrise if weather permits. Have a stop in Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world. Then we will drive back to Shigatse city, upon arrival, leisure time at your disposal.

Day 7 Shigatse-Namsto Lake (B/L/D)

Driving through numbers of peaceful villages and farmlands within the Oyuk valley, we traverse the high peak of Shogula pass(5400m) to Yangpachen and the northern nomadic grassland, this wonderful valley barely hidden in the remote and not known for mass tourism yet, northern Tibet is known as Changthang Drogpa(Northern nomads) with sparse population of nomads in the vast pastures, hundreds of beautiful lakes with abounding wild lives can be found in this region, Namtso lake is one of them and it is one of the holy as well as most gorgeous lake in Tibet, it is also the world highest salt water lake, we will spend a night on the Tashi Do peninsula and enjoy the cold breeze of the mystical lake and breathtaking view of snow capped ranges all around.

Day 8 Namsto Lake-Lhasa (B/L/D)

Today we will drive back to Lhasa and complete the clockwise circumferential at Lhasa, on this day we will visit a nomad family tent en route, the giant black tent is made up of yak wool and it has a great tendency to preserve heat and resist rain that is totally accommodate the plateau changeable climate, each tent is a whole complex of kitchen, bedroom, seating room and store room for the family, so spending few minutes with the nomad family give you a special experiences of plateau nomad lifestyle, you may wonder when you see piles of Yak dung just outside of the tents, it is the main fuel that nomads and also Tibetans use for cooking and heating the house during the chilly winter season.
