Arrive at Kunming airport in the afternoon, after meeting with our tour guide at exit, and then transfer check in your hotel in Kunming city.Free at leisure the rest time of the day.
Overnight at Kunming
This morning, transfer 1.5hrs to visit Naigu Stone Forest is about 10km to the east of Large Stone Forest. “ Naigu “in the Yi language means old and black. It covers an area of 7.83 square kilometers with the characteristics of magnificence, roughness , primitiveness and simpleness. Seen from outside , the forest resembles an ancient battle field , mysterious. However go inside , it looks like a place luxurious and solemn.
Afterward, continue to Nuohei Yi Village is located in Guishan Town about 32km from Stone Forest (Shilin) County. The villagers inhabited here is Sani people, a branch of Yi nationality. Nuohei come from Yi language means "monkey pond" The village nestles among mounts and lakes. It's a world of stones, composed of roads paved with polished stones, slate houses, rocky mounts and Karst lakes. Villagers had been using limestone to build their houses for centuries and hundreds of old houses, which have a history of more than a hundred years, are still well preserved in the village today.
Afterward, drive to Luxi (40m ) and check in hotel.
Overnight at Luxi
After breakfast, visit Luxi Alugudong Cave is called as the No. Karst Cave in Yunnan. Located in the Luxi County 160km south of Kunming City "Alugudong" comes from Yi language means “ the Tiger Cave with the grand grassland in front of it ”. It is composed by three spectacular underground caves: Luyuan cave, Yuzhu Cave ,Biyu Cave and one underground river- Yusun River (Jade Bamboo shoot river). Those 3 caves and one river stretches a length of 3000meters. There are lots stalagmites, stalactites, pillars, stone man, stone sickle, stone waterfall, stone flowers inside. Showing the vitality of the nature and be called as Paradise cave by visitors.
After lunch,continue to visit Chengzi Ancient Village this ancient village with a history nearly 600 years, the most attractive visitors is their traditional dwelling house. The appearances are featured with Yi people’s constructional style while the inner decoration is characterized by Han cultural designs. These houses that are made of clay are called "Tuzhang Houses" in Ailao Mountain Area. Today, visitors are drawn to the unique cluster of architecture and the history it preserves. Time seems to stop when one glides through the stone roads in the labyrinth of Tuzhang house.
After that,further your driving to Jianshui ( 3.5hrs ) Check in the hotel after arrival.
Overnight at Jianshui
After breakfast , you will take one way sightseeing train about 2hrs from Jianshui town to Tuanshan village go through by the 12.82km of narrow-gauge railway. ( soft class seat ) Enjoy the view of field,village on the way. And have a stop at Twin Dragon Bridge to take the picture, which is a 17-hole bridge with 148 meters long, 3-8 meters wide.
Then take off the train,make a tour of Tuanshan Village The village has preserved a great number of ancient and traditional architectures. Most of the houses are made of clay walls and tile roofs. The entrance to it is a watchtower on which embrasures can be easily seen. Exploring into the houses, one can find there are lots of ages-old wood carvings on the doors and windows as special decorations.
After lunch,discover Jianshui Confucius Temple (It was build in 1285AD which has been repaired and extended for over 50 times and now occupied an area of 7.6 hectares. This complex including a main hall, two side-halls, three pavilions, four gates, five clan halls and eight memorial archways, all of which are kept in well. Based on its scale, construction standard and excellence in preservation, Jianshui Confucius Temple stands second largest in China.) Continue to visit Family Zhu’s Garden(It was build by Zhuchaoying and his brother in the late Qing Dynasty. The complex has a total area of 20, 000 square meters. With the well - arranged yards and well-furnished rooms and halls, the structure of the architecture can be described as ''streamlined'' it enjoys the fame ''the Daguan Garden at a Border Town''. Large and magnificent buildings like the private Garden of the Zhu family are now rarely seen in China）
Stroll in the Old area of Jianshui to see the difference types of Old Wells in Jianshui and the Doufu workshop how to use the water for well to make the famous snack --Doufu.
Overnight at Jianshui
After the breakfast , transfer back to Kunming. On the way, stop at Tonghai to visit the Xinmeng Mongolian Village which is the only Mongolian Villages in Yunnan province. Around 750 years ago, the cavalries led by Kublai Khan conquered Dali Kingdom. Some Soldiers settled down as inhabitants in Tonghai County of Yuxi Municipality, 130 km from Kunming.
And continue to visit Xiushan Mountain Park is one of the important scenic spots in Yuxi area. The mountain at a elevation of 2060 meters with an area of 7.6 square kilometers. Xiushan was called one of the “four famous mountains” and enjoy a reputation “ the most beautiful mountain in South Yunnan“ There are many ancient buildings in the mountain such as Sanyuan Palace, Puguang Temple, Jade Emperor Pavilion, Qingliangtai and Yongjin Temple, White Dragon Temple and so on.
After tour , go directly back to your hotel in Kunming.
